Week Two

This weekend I was at my roommate's home to celebrate her mom's birthday. One thing we did over the weekend was watch the playoff's for the Super Bowl. I was so excited to watch the Bears and Packers. I was hoping and praying for the Bears to win and make it to the Super Bowl. While watching the game, it never hit me that visual signals are very important in the game. The quarterback is telling his team where to movie and what play is next. The players wait for the verbal signal of hike and start to run or block.

The ref has to look for mistakes and make plays on what he sees. If something isn't right, the ref has to review the play and make judgments based on what he sees. Football has a lot of visual signals, some that only the players see and some that everyone can see.

Week One

To start off my AHA journal, I thought I would find a visual that really spoke to me. I have watched this video many times and really like the message it sends. Katy Perry's Fireworks music video has a great message for all people. The message behind this is that you should not be afraid to be yourself and let your unique qualities shine. You can surprise everyone, and yourself, by just going out and being you. Stand up for what you believe in and do not be afraid of what others will think. One thing I really liked in this video is the how everyone had a story and in the end they let their "colors" shine. They all were broken or sad or afraid but by letting go, they were able to stand up taller and be themselves.
